One of the perils of looking for newly uploaded content to YouTube is that you find some of the weirdest stuff that makes you wonder what people do with their lives.
Enter Night of the Bunnies. It’s a User. It’s a Channel. It’s….WEIRD.
Some of the videos look like slightly warmed over Disco track promos. Some of them fail all explanation whatsoever.
There seems to be a theme running through at least a few of them. It has something to do, I think, with evil mutant bunnies running amok. Maybe this is some sort of homage to Night of the Lepus, a forgettable flick whose cast included DeForest Kelley (Dr. McCoy from Star Trek), Janet Leigh (Marion Crane in “Psycho”, Paul Fix (Captain Kirk’s first ship’s doctor), and a horde of old-timey actors whose long (and short) careers were about to out of steam.
Here are a couple of videos from the channel:
“Night of Reckoning” brings on the evil bunnies. The “Spray-rite” can is either their Achilles heel or their secret sauce.
“Launch the Assault” starts out as a sort of Cartoon Network-quality (low-brow) cheap animation. I don’t know — maybe it IS from Cartoon Network. But then it morphs into a Sandmanesque disco nightmare. Don’t blame me if you fall asleep halfway through and dream of mutant bunnies.
I warned you.
